Sometimes they say it is hard to tell the players without a scorecard. That saying is fitting for the Tampa Bay Rays who have gone through an enormous roster overhaul since their last trip to the playoffs in 2013.
Of the 30 players on the 2017 opening day roster, including players on the disabled list, only two — Evan Longoria and Alex Cobb — were on the opening day roster in 2013. Every other player is new to the Rays since then.
