Let’s check in on the 2017 Tampa Bay Rays and their facial hair

Photo Day is always interesting as we get our first high-res look at many of the Rays players and coaches.

This year’s group seems to have a common theme: facial hair.

Of course, the star of the show is Colby Rasmus, whom the Rays signed out of the Pennsylvania Amish League.

Evan Longoria is embracing his inner-beardimus maximus.

Hunter Wood obviously can’t grow a beard. Instead he just glued to his chin one of the squirrels he trapped this offseason.

Dana Eveland spent his offseason as a bare-knuckle boxer. A sad bare-knuckle boxer.

Ryne Stanek grew out one beard this offseason. It got so long he apparently moved it to the back of his head and started over.

I believe the kids calls this “The Party Hat.” You can tell by the pissed off look on Matt Duffy’s face.

We don’t make mistakes, just happy little accidents.
