- Paul Lukas of ESPN.com raised some eyebrows yesterday when he noted that the Rays 1970s throwback uniform is now an “official alternate option.” I asked the Rays if that meant we would see it more often this season, and they assured us that it will still only be used “sparingly” and in conjunction with throwback games.
